4 TH JULY FISHING FORCAST

Visual: Drone shots of Minnesota lakes, forests, and hiking trails at sunrise.

Narrator (warm, adventurous tone):

“From the Boundary Waters to the North Shore, Minnesota offers some of the best outdoor adventures in the Midwest. Whether you’re hiking, fishing, or camping, the Land of 10,000 Lakes has it all.” This morning proved exactly what I’ve been watching all week: the panfish are finally sliding off their beds and settling into that 12–16 foot summer pattern. When they move, they move fast — and today was the confirmation.

🎣 The Catch Breakdown

  • 3 walleyes

    • 15 inches

    • 24 inches

    • One in between

  • 20 sunfish

    • All 9–11 inches — thick, healthy, classic mid‑summer slabs Just as I expected, the sunfish are off the beds. They’re done guarding, done chasing shallow intruders, and now they’re sliding out to that first breakline. Today they were stacked in 12–16 feet, right where the basin meets the weed edge.

That depth shift is the official sign that:

      • The spawn is wrapped up

      • The easy shallow bite is over

      • Summer patterns are taking over
