OH WHAT A STORM

GROVE LAKE OUTDOORS — THE STORM THAT SAVED THE SUMMER
Last night Grove Lake took a direct hit from one of those classic Minnesota storms — the kind that rolls in slow, growls across the treetops, and drops a full inch of rain like a gift from the sky. You could hear it soaking deep into the ground, filling the cracks, waking up the garden, and giving every farmer in the county a reason to breathe again.
This wasn’t just rain… It was a billion‑dollar rain, the kind that changes the whole season.
Clouds stacked up over the lake like mountains, lit from inside by flashes that turned the shoreline silver. I grabbed some incredible shots — big, rolling storm fronts pushing across the water, the kind of sky you only get in Minnesota.
And tomorrow morning? Fishing is going to light up. Fresh rain, cooler surface temps, and a pressure drop always kick the bite into gear. I’ll be out early and will post a full update after the morning run.
Grove Lake storms always tell a story — and this one was all about renewal.
